Summary

In this episode I’m talking about something that’s deeply personal yet universally human: the courage to share your truth. Sometimes the weight we carry, like shame, fear, embarrassment, or unspoken experiences, can hold us back from living fully. Sharing your truth doesn’t have to be dramatic or performative, it is about creating space to release, reflect, and heal.

We’re talking about:

  • Why holding onto your truth can feel like survival but may also block your growth
  • The importance of having a supportive inner circle and trustworthy allies
  • Ways to safely share your truth including journaling, therapy, creative expression, or just showing up authentically
  • How black women, historically and culturally, have had to mask their truths and why reclaiming space to be fully human is an act of self-care
  • Navigating the highs and lows, the valleys and peaks, of life while honoring your own journey

This episode is an invitation to let go of the pressure to be perfect, to stop bottling things up for survival, and to explore ways to express yourself safely and honestly.

Reflection Prompts

  • What truth have you been holding onto that needs space to be expressed
  • Who in your life can you trust to honor your truth without judgment
  • What small, safe step can you take this week to release or express what’s been bottled up
