Smith and Kelly Black. Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into

Numbers 11, verse 14. When I first had kids, my anxiety was absolutely through the roof. I felt like no one else could take care of

my children the way I did. And so I could never leave them with a babysitter. My husband and I gave

them every bath. We fed them every meal. We changed every diaper. We put them down for every nap for

gosh, four years, I think.

And it wasn't until my second child was about two years old that I finally gave up.

Four years of doing everything had left me feeling like a glorified maid.

I hired my first babysitter, went on a date with my husband, and it was awesome.

It turns out that a reliable babysitter can, in fact,

feed a child and help them get to bed. Who knew? My life improved significantly as I gave up trying

to bear the load of raising two children without any outside help. Moses had a similar experience

as he tried to lead the children of Israel. They

whined and complained until Moses finally cried out to the Lord, I am not able to bear all

this people alone because it is too heavy for me. In return, Moses received instructions on how

to delegate. Basically, the Lord reminded Moses, you don't have to do this alone. That's a message

for all of us. When we feel overwhelmed, is there a chance we're not reaching out for help

that's available? Could we share the burden of our heavy loads to make them lighter? So the

takeaway of the day in five words or less is, share your load with others. Thanks so much for being here today and for
