One of the easiest things to forget when we go through the death of a

Lugman that met so much to us is to think all is over for us. And we forget that

the same God who chose to take the Lugman left us for a purpose.

Some leaders seem irreplaceable. How do you find another leader like your

favorite president, for instance, or the Bible teacher who guided your

understanding of Scripture but graduated to heaven? We often lack confidence in

the successor of great leaders. Today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall

begins a brand new teaching series called Moving Ahead Together with a

winning mindset. In this study, we'll get to meet the man who followed one of

the most celebrated leaders of all time. Chuck titled his first message in the

We're beginning a selective study in the book of Joshua. I say selective because

we'll not do a literal verse by verse word by word chapter by chapter study. We

will select those areas of Joshua that speak directly to us in our need. And

some of them more directly to one person on one occasion and another on

another occasion. Today, I think what we will uncover from the first nine verses

of Joshua 1 will speak to all of us. For we will all be there at one time or

another if we've not been there recently. And we want to drink in what the Lord
