All right, you've told your child time and time and time and time again.

It's like a thousand times.

And they're still ignoring you.

How do you keep your cool?

when you are losing your mind and the anger starts to boil over who is in control.

Yeah, and we want our kids to be successful.

And I've heard some parents say,

I'm a very patient parent.

But then they explode because of the thousand times

that they've asked

how to do something. Right. Then they blow up. It is it's really

important for a parent to teach their child and train their child to know that you

say it once and then there's a consequence either you did it or

you didn't do it but there has to be a clear and consistent limit or consequence at the end of

that one exercise that I use a lot in my practice with families on this topic of picking up your things.

Right, that's a common one, right in the house.

Hey, pick that up, pick that.
