Today is Thursday, September 6, 2018.

This week on the Catholic Sprout's podcast, we have been talking about service and justice,

what we are called to do as Christians.

First, we talked about how service and justice are like the two feet that we as Christians

are called to walk on. Next, we talked about how when we seek justice, human dignity, the idea that

each person deserves love and respect should sit at the center of our seek for justice.

Next, with the help of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, we explored the way that we can serve

others around us and how we should do it out of love.

Today, we are going to explore with a single issue how we are called to both serve and seek justice in a concrete way.

The issue that we are going to be talking about today is abortion.

Now, chances are you know what abortion is.

In our country, it is legal for a woman who has decided that she doesn't want the baby that's growing in her stomach.

She doesn't want that baby.

So it is legal for her to go to a hospital and remove that baby and end that baby's life.

Now, we know as Christians that each human being is created with a special dignity,

including human beings that have not been born yet.

Therefore, we know that abortion is something that is gravely wrong.

It should not be something that is legal in our country, and yet it is.

So we need to engage in the work to fight against abortion, but we need to make sure that we are both seeking justice and
