Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, September 7th, 2018. This week on the Catholic Sprouts

podcast, we have been talking about our call to service and to seek justice. We talked about how service

and justice are like the two feet that we are called to walk on as Christians. We talked about how service and justice are like the two feet that we are called to walk on as Christians.

We talked about how human dignity needs to sit at the very center of our seeking for justice.

Next, we talked about, with the help of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the ways that we can serve others out of love.

Yesterday, we talked about the issue of abortion and how we need to seek both justice

with this issue and to serve those that might be affected.

Today, we are going to wrap up our discussion of service and justice by talking about community.

Now, all of this that we have been talking about this week is a reminder to us, a reminder that

God created us to live together. God did not create people to live on their own. He did not create

us to be happy and fulfilled all on our own. He created us that if we are left alone, we become lonely.

Service and justice require that we look out into the world and we see all of the beautiful

people that God created.

And we not only see them, but we reach out to them.

We talk to them.

We ask them what they need.

We get to know them.

We love them and we help them get what they need.

That is what we are called to be as human beings.

And that is the only way that we will be happy.

We will not be happy on our own. Now I know in this modern world, it can be very easy to spend a lot
