terror, no matter where you fall on the true crime spectrum. You know the stories behind those

names, and they don't make you feel good. From Bundy to even Donald. They live in sort of infamy.

They foster a certain feeling.

But perhaps none of them strike the same chord as Dahmer.

In the first of our serial killer Sunday special,

we're going to be talking about his early life

as he grew into the serial murderer

and eventually into a household

adjective and schoolyard taunt.

This is the story of the early life of Jeffrey Dahmer.

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer was born on May 21st, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was the first of two sons from Joyce Annette and Lionel Dahmer.

Now you're expecting me to go into the deep parts of his messed up childhood, right?

Well, the truth is that he had a pretty normal existence for a while.

His mother, the teletype machine instructor, and his dad,

a blossoming chemistry student who would eventually become a full-blown,

super exciting chemistry professor. They were pretty normal, nondescript.
