Good morning, everyone. I'm Playbook co-author, Ryan Lizza. It's Thursday, September 19th,

and here's what's driving the day. There's a silver lining for Kamala Harris after the National

Teamsters leadership declined to endorse the Democratic presidential nominee yesterday.

West Coast Teamsters announced they would

break with that decision. Teamsters' Joint Council's 7 and 42, for those keeping track,

which are made up of 39 local unions representing some 300,000 members in California, Nevada,

Hawaii, and Guam tend to be more liberal members. They issued a statement

backing the Harris Wall's ticket. That's after the union's national headquarters released

internal survey results that showed close to 60% of its members backed Trump. So the Harris team

blasting this out widely in addition to some other local Teamsters endorsements that had occurred

nominee this time, at least the National Teamsters didn't. As for Trump, he rallied in Nassau

Coliseum on Long Island last night. Former President made a somewhat unusual pitch predicting

that he would carry the deep blue state

of New York. In an hour-plus speech, Trump warned that New York will be a, quote, third world

nation, should Democrats stay in power, and cautioned against, quote, migrants that Kamala let in.

He went on, I say to the people of New York with crime at record levels, with terrorists and

criminals pouring in, and with inflation, eating your hearts out, vote for Donald Trump. What the hell

do you have to lose? Now, Trump doesn't really think he'll win the state of New York, but of course,

Long Island has been trending, very Republican, and clearly there to boost some of the local
