Hi friends. I am Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books

of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus

Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month here on Let's Read the Gospels, we are reading all four books. Go ahead and subscribe

today and join us as we read the Gospels together. And you know we say it around here a lot. You

don't have to be in the Gospels every day to be changed, but every day you are in the Gospels

will change you. So here's how this works. Most months, we read three chapters a day, but here

in September, we're reading through the Gospels chronologically from the NIV, from the new

international version, which is a version that a lot of us use and love. So we'll be reading the

stories and the order they took place. So it mixes together all four books most days. So I'll

share the references of what I'm reading with you here at the beginning. You can also find

those in the show notes below or in your Gospels guidebook or in the reading plan for September.

Today is September 10th and I will be reading Luke 8, 16 through 18, Mark 4, 21 to 29, Matthew 13,

24 to 30, Mark 4, 30 to 34, Matthew 13, 31 to 52, Mark 4, 35 to 41, Matthew 8, 23 to 27,

Luke 8, 22 to 25, Mark 5, 1 through 20, Matthew 8, 28 to 34, and Luke 8, 26 to 39.

under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand so that those who come in can see the light.

For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed and nothing concealed that will not be

known or brought out into the open. Therefore, consider carefully how you listen.

Whoever has will be given more. Whoever does not have even what they think they have will be taken

from them. From Mark. He said to them, do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed?
