Hi, friends. I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books in the New Testament, the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

So here's how this works. Most months, I read you three chapters a day, about 20 minutes, and then we get through all four books in 30 days.

But this month, we're reading through the Gospels chronologically from the New International Virgin or the NIV.

We'll be reading these stories in the order they happen. So it mixes together from all four books a lot of days.

So today is September 11th, and I will be reading Mark 5, 21 to 43, Matthew 9, 18 to 26, Luke 8, 40 to 56, Matthew 9, 27 to 34,

Mark 6, 1 through 6, Matthew 13, 53 to 58, Matthew 9, 35 to 38, Mark 6, 7 to 13, Matthew 10, 1 to 42, and Luke 9, 1 through 6.

Jesus heals in response to faith from Mark.

When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake.

Then one of a synagogue leaders named Jairus came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. He pleaded earnestly with him.

My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live. So Jesus went with him.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him, and a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years.

She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors, and it spent all she had, yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, if I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.

Immediately, her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

At once, Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, who touched my clothes?

You see the people crowding against you, his disciples answered, and yet you can ask who touched me?
