This feels like a perfect double bill with Drag Me to Hell.

I mean, I think that was the thing I was most shocked by.

Like, I saw so many more influences of drag me to hell in this movie than I did any of Sam Ramey's other films. Like a loony tune, funny levels of violence. Yes. Even the CGI, which we'll talk about because I, I'm not convinced, like, the, the, The cartooner CGI is like a bad thing in this movie.

Okay.

Yeah, yeah.

And you are a staunch defender of that.

Folks go back and listen to our. I will remember it. I am not in love with it. Like, I'm at a

three and a half out of five here. I, I'm trying to figure out how much of it was the expectations

game because I definitely wanted there to be more blood in this movie. I wanted there to be more

horrory things. Okay. I do think that the middle chunk gets a little repetitive with, you know, oh, we're at odds. But then, oh, Dylan O'Brien's nice. And then Rachel McAdams gives him a chance. But then oops, he betrays her, wash, rinse, repeat. We do that a lot in this movie. A little too often. Yeah. I think the screenplay is a little bit one note. but I do think that Ramey's direction and the performances from

Adams and O'Brien elevate this material.

It's definitely the selling feature of this.

I do wonder how much better this is going to play on a rewatch as well when you know how to

manage, not just your expectations, but be prepared for the pacing of the film.

I think that this film works slightly better in parts than it does as a whole.

So I'm coming in somewhere between a three and a three and a half.

I had a good time with this.

I did see this in a packed preview audience with the normies and contest winners and stuff.
