There is no tool that I use more than SCM Rush.

This tool is at the foundation of my keyword research process, which is where the battle

for Google rankings is won.

I have been doing keyword research since I was 24 years old.

The tools have changed over the years but the basic

process is always the same. I am always looking for keyword phrases that have a

good monthly volume with low enough competition so that I can outrank all of the

competition. SM Rush is actually a suite of tools and goes beyond just keyword research.

I spend most of my time in the keyword magic tool.

I will brainstorm to come up with a list of topics that I want to do keyword research on,

and then after that brainstorm session is over, I am usually left with 300 to 1,000 topics.

Then one by one, I copy and paste each topic into the keyword magic tool.

The keyword magic tool returns a list of every phrase that people search for on Google

that includes the word of the topic that you input it into the tool.

For example, if one of my topics for my brainstorm list was dessert recipes,

then the results on the keyword magic tool will give me a list of 37,129 keyword phrases that contain the phrase, dessert recipes.

The results are initially ranked by monthly search volume, which is how many times people

do a search on Google each month for a particular keyword phrase.
