In this episode, I'm going to be sharing two awesome free tools from MOS that every blogger needs to be using.

The first tool is called Link Explorer.

This is how most bloggers and SEO professionals keep track of their domain authority.

Domain authority is a score from zero to 100, which is based

upon your backlink profile. The more quality links you have pointing towards your blog post,

the higher your domain authority is going to be. The higher your domain authority, the higher

your post will rank in Google. As a blogger, you want to strive to be increasing your

domain authority with each passing year. You really need to crack 30 to start getting some

nice Google rankings. Although I've seen some domain authority blogs in the 20s build up their

traffic by going after ultra-low competition keyword phrases or by having authority on a niche topic.

A domain authority 40 is 10 times more powerful than a domain authority of 30.

An increase of 10 points can have a huge impact to your overall organic Google traffic.

On top of keeping track of your domain authority, you can use this tool to evaluate

backlink opportunities. Ideally, you want to focus on blogs or websites with the domain

authority greater than 35. Anything below that is not going to move the meter. I also use Link Explorer

to evaluate domains that I'm considering buying to build a new blog around. Other than my flagship blog,

all the domains for my blogs have been expired domains which I acquired in the aftermarket.
