When I started my blog back in 2013, it took a load of time to find and create images

for my blog post.

I would spend a couple of hours each week in Adobe Photoshop just optimizing those images.

In addition, I had to spend some decent money in Shutterstock to buy stock images.

Fast forward to today, and I rarely use Photoshop for any of the images for my blog.

And I have not visited Shutterstock in at least three years.

Canva is the only tool that I use for images.

What is crazy is that there are enough free images and templates to cover just about

everything that you need in Canva.

For your blog post featured images, all you have to do is type in your custom dimensions

of your image, do a search for your topic, and then drag and drop your image into the template.

This is astronomically easier compared to having to do it the old way through Photoshop.

Some of the best Canva templates for blog post featured images can be found in the Twitter

post and YouTube thumbnail sections.

The Twitter templates are 1024 by 512 pixels and the YouTube thumbnails are 1280 by 720 pixels.
