Summary
Episode 77: Tamsen Fadal is an Emmy award winning TV journalist as she has been reporting for over 30 years, she’s an author, matchmaker, and a podcast host! She has become known as the internet’s “big sis” as she shares life advice she wishes she had known in her youth. She covers all things hormone health, confidence, dating, and how to navigate transitions in life. Her mission is to empower women as she made the decision to be vulnerable about menopause and other midlife changes online.
She goes into detail about her personal experience with menopause symptoms and how to become your own advocate when chatting to your doctor about hormone health. She took it upon herself to gain more knowledge about menopause symptoms after receiving little to no preparation for this transition from her doctor. Tamsen also goes into detail about her divorce, and how it allowed her to establish a new relationship with herself. She shares the importance of spending time alone in order to truly find happiness alone before entering a relationship. She shares red flags to look out for while dating, and what questions you should ask early on to set yourself up for success in relationships. She is one of the most inspiring women I have ever met, and I can’t wait for you to tune in to this conversation!

So this is where I kind of want to start the conversation. Thank you so much. Yeah. You know, it's so important to have it and build it. You know, it comes from time, you know, it comes from time with yourself. And I think that that's something we don't always give ourselves when we're younger, right? And I think that sometimes we think we need a partner in order to feel better about ourselves. But I think confidence got built over time. It gets built through mistakes too, right? And those hardships. And I feel like in some of the more difficult times have really built me into what I feel good about. And I feel like confidence is so important. It's so important in terms of self-love. It's important where you're going to go in your next relationship, in your job. And I think people feel that, you know, they feel that and you're drawn to people that all have that same kind of self-confidence. Do you feel like it's something that came naturally to you, or do you think it's something that had to be learned over time? It definitely had to be learned over time. There's no question. I promise I was, I didn't come out like this. |
| 2:51.9 | It took time, you know, and it took hits, too. My confidence has taken hits over the years. |
