There is perhaps no better encapsulation of why Bitcoin struggles as a payment system

than what occurred when two famous Bitcoin's pressilizers got on stage together for a debate last year.

Now, we need to take a minute to talk about Roger Vere.

He is not the type of guy whose name you

mentioned quickly, then move on. Dedicated listeners to this show have

actually heard of Roger before.

He featured once briefly in our episode on Mount Gocks.

As the Mount Gocks, Bitcoin Exchange went dark,

realizing they've lost millions upon millions in other people's money,

Roger got in front of a camera and said in 50 seconds

that the rumors about Mount Gocks being bankrupt were not true.
