These talks look at the block to realizing the loving awareness that is our essence, and the practices that help us see this essential goodness - in ourselves, dear ones and in those we might habitually consider different or "other." Both talks include reflections that can help us appreciate the basic goodness that lives through these precious, changing forms.

| 1:01.0 | And this man, the meditator, Phil gave over $600. |
| 1:07.5 | He carried his wallet. |
| 1:09.7 | The mugger shaking his gun and demanding more. |
| 1:12.8 | And he looks dazed and high and he's basically saying, I'm going to kill you. |
| 1:16.7 | Give me more. |
| 1:18.0 | And so Phil gave him his watch and the guy is still very disoriented and waving his gun. |
| 1:26.3 | And he says, I'm going to shoot you. |
| 1:29.5 | So Phil said, he looked at him with love and kindness. |
| 1:31.9 | Here's what he said. |
| 1:32.9 | He said, you don't have to shoot me. |
| 1:34.4 | You did really good. |
