This is Kevin from Epic Gardening and today we're going to talk about lady bugs.

So ladybugs are a bug that I have recommended as an organic natural environmental way of controlling pests.

Many, many times if you listen to the podcast or read some of my pest guides on the site and that's because they are just so

dang effective they will help eliminate aphids they will take out mites they'll take

out scale among many other different types of pests and typically they will take out a pest that is small enough for them to eat if it is in a

larval stage on plant tissue on plant matter like the underside of a leaf or a stem or something like that.

They have a hard time with things that are under the ground, something that's burrowing,

something that's too large for them to eat, but many different pests will be small enough for them

to eat or in a place that they can eat that pest at some stage of their life cycle.

And that's why Lady Bugs are such a powerful, powerful pest prevention tool.

But the question is, well, how do I keep them in the garden?

Because a lot of the times, you don't have ladybugs in the garden naturally, at least most of us don't.

And then if you go out to the garden center

and buy one of those packs of ladybugs,

those live ladybug packs,

then you dump that into your garden,

you try to get them on the plants that you want them on.

Well, the ladybugs will probably do a good job.

They will probably eat the pests that you want them to eat.

They'll solve the problem that you want solved.

And then they will fly out in search of more food because they're little animals
