My name is Rob Maower. Today we are talking about a lawsuit filed by the SEC against

Elon Musk.

Tesla stock on the day before market closed, finished down 0.67 percent, but more importantly after hours, the stock is currently down about $42.13.5% to $265.65.65 cents.

Before I begin this episode, it's important to note that I am not a financial advisor,

I'm not a securities lawyer.

I don't give advice about investments or trades, but I do share my own thoughts on my own

positions, and I would hope that everybody has their own

thought process as well. One other preface I'm still catching up on this news too it's a lot to

digest I certainly don't have all the answers yet even for myself I have to do a lot more reading and research on this topic so I've got to keep this episode relatively short.

But let's talk about the facts that we do have.

The SEC has filed a civil lawsuit against Elon Musk. Only Elon Musk is the

defendant. Tesla is not named in a lawsuit by the SEC. I've put a link to the case filing

in the show notes. I would encourage everybody to read that

document in its entirety I'll read the important parts here to quote the summary quote

this case involves a series of false and misleading statements made by Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of

Tesla Inc. on August 7th, 2018 regarding taking Tesla a publicly traded company private.
