Hello and welcome to the Wednesday September 26th 2018 edition of Tesla Daily Unofficial

Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maower. Today we're talking all about

version 9 software for Tesla, which has begun rolling out to early access testers.

Tesla stock after a couple stable days on Monday and Tuesday finished Wednesday up 2.85% to

$309.58, finally breaking through that $300 barrier, which it feels like it's kind of been pushing

up against for the past week or so.

That compared to the Nasdak down 0.21%.

All right, so Version 9 software, a big update for Tesla, rolling out to early access testers now with Elon saying on

Twitter yesterday that they would try to target a wide release towards the end of

this week. Today I'm not going to go through all of the very specific details because those do vary by which version of the model S or X you have or the model 3.

But in the show notes I have posted a link to a Reddit thread compiling all of the updates for version 9.

If you are interested in more of the specifics today, I just want to talk about the bigger

updates though. The one that I am most

interested in and presumably listeners are most interested in is the update to

autopilot. As we've talked about, version 9 introduces a new feature, which was formerly known as Drive on Nav.

We now know the actual name and it is Navigate on autopilot.

This is a beta feature and right now it is only available in the United States unfortunately.

From the release notes, Tesla says quote, our newest autopilot convenience feature

designed to get you to your destination more efficiently suggests lane

suggests lane changes to keep you on your route
