Good morning, everyone, the simple handigap for Wednesday, August 25th. Thank you for making me a part of your morning.

And I'm going to be completely honest to start this morning before we get into the Seattle Seahawks preview, the 10th rated team in the league.

This is the third time that I have tried to record this episode.

I have never, ever in the history of doing

this over, I don't even know, a couple hundred episodes over four seasons, this much

difficulty to do an episode of the podcast. I hate everything about the Seattle Seahawks.

And I say that somewhat facetiously. But like, I hate betting on them. I hate

watching their games. I hate being involved with a total or anything relating to them.

And I, I just despise previewing them because the team in so many ways just defies logic

and defies numbers.

And every single year, you listen to any preview that you respect.

And it is talking about the impending regression because of their performance in one score games,

because their performance in late fourth quarter, how plays were decided.

And you can look through box scores for days and be like, wow, they're not going to follow this up again.

And then they do it the next week.

Like it never ends with this team.

And somehow every single season, it's a fact that Russell Wilson has been on this team, they've won at least nine games. And so it, everyone's talking about the regression and the steps back and all the performances one score games and the point expectation, everything. It just doesn't, it doesn't affect Seattle. I don't. And so we're waiting for it. Maybe this is the year.

I don't know, but we're waiting for it. When's it going to happen? Like, I don't know how to talk about this team because I don't know who can predict it. And anything you're going to say a couple weeks into the season is probably irrelevant because they've gone into direction that you could never imagine them going into. And so it just drives me nuts to have to talk about this team.

The second one was even worse.

And so the third one, I'm going to completely give up on making a case for or against them
