Summary
The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2021 NFL season with a huge win total of 10.5. This is the highest win total team to be previewed this far. Matthew Stafford is a GIGANTIC upgrade from Jared Goff - there is no question about it. But Rams bettors (and fans) should be equally excited to have the uncertainty around what Sean McVay will do with him in the offense back for the first time since he took over in 2017. The concerns lie on the defense. The schedule goes from one of the easiest in 2020 to one of the most difficult in 2021, and key names that departed this offseason were not replaced. The Rams may turn into a much better over team in their new, fast stadium, than a side to back this season.

| 0:00.0 | Good morning, everyone, the simple heading out for Tuesday, August 24th. |
| 0:06.2 | Thank you for making me a part of your morning. |
| 0:08.9 | NFL power ratings and team previews continuing along with the Los Angeles Rams coming in at a rating of 60. |
| 0:15.9 | They are the first team of the power ratings to get into the 60s, and they are the 11th highest rated team |
| 0:22.9 | in the NFL. I think when you hear that this morning, at least some of you, you're going to have |
| 0:29.0 | an initial disagreement because preview magazines, other preview podcasts, the wind total market, |
| 0:34.4 | the futures market, all have the Rams very high. |
| 0:44.0 | I'm still high on them, based on where I've ranked them within these ratings, but I'm stuck in another situation like I've mentioned throughout this series where when it comes to the tier |
| 0:49.2 | of the teams, I've sort of grouped the teams, I have seven different tiers within the NFL. |
| 0:54.1 | And I've said that for a lot of I have seven different tiers within the NFL. |
| 1:00.0 | And I've said that for a lot of these tiers up to this point, the teams within them are pretty interchangeable for the most part. Who's better? Chicago, Washington, or Denver? Those are three |
| 1:07.0 | teams that are going to be pretty equal. Miami, Arizona are the Chargers. Again, three |
| 1:11.9 | teams like I have those teams rated between 42 and 45. Like it's a difference of three. It's a minuscule |
| 1:18.8 | difference. But it gets hard when you're sort of grouping these, because to be quite honest, we don't |
| 1:24.4 | know what these teams are going to be. And so when I'm looking at this |
| 1:27.5 | fifth tier of teams, it's Patriots, Cowboys, Seahawks, Rams, and Titans, if you hear those five |
| 1:37.1 | teams to make a very strong case that one is dramatically better than the others, I don't think is realistic. |
| 1:45.2 | I made a case yesterday for why there's enough evidence or enough things to point at |
| 1:50.6 | that we can pretty comfortably have Tennessee at the bottom of that tier. |
| 1:56.0 | But beyond that, it's very difficult to say that New England is dramatically better than the Cowboys Seahawks, Rams, and Titans. |
| 2:02.8 | Or the Rams are dramatically better than the Patriots, Cowboys, Seahawks. |
| 2:07.6 | And it's just, it's very, very difficult to make that case. |
