Hey, good morning. I'm Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. Beginning on Thursday,

anyone who needs medical, dental, or vision care can get it for free at the Seattle King

County Clinic. Organizers are expecting bigger crowds for the yearly four-day clinic at Seattle

Center because of rising health care costs. In a minute,

we'll talk with the clinic's founder. But first, let's get you caught up. The city's newest

waterfront trail opens today. Elliot Bay Connections unites Waterfront Park and the Olympic Sculpture Garden.

The Greenway is open to pedestrians and cyclists. You can find it on the east side of

Alaskan Way. It's a public-private partnership with funding from Melinda French and McKenzie Scott.

A new affordable housing development opens in Northgate today. Copperleaf Northgate has

235 apartments ranging from studios to three bedrooms. The units are made to be affordable for people

earning up to 60% of the area median income. King County Executive Germaisahalai will be there

And the King County Council will take public comment today on its emergency ban on immigration detention centers.

The one-year moratorium passed by the council last month blocks the county from accepting permits for new or expanding detention facilities.

Some other local governments have passed similar measures, including Seattle, Renton, Kent,

Cetack, Tuckwilla, and Pierce County. The council meets at 1.30 this afternoon.
