I'm Paige Browning with a roundup of today's top stories.

It's Tuesday, April 21st.

Starting with a political controversy, the King County Council called on John Arthur Wilson, the county tax assessor, to resign from office today.

That amid an ongoing stalking case. Councilmember Claudia Balducci signed on to a letter asking

Wilson to go.

And I'm sorry that we don't have the ability to do more than just keep calling for it,

but I'm glad that we use our voices to keep calling for it because this is just very damaging to public trust

and really just a stain on the reputation of this county.

Wilson was arrested last summer outside the Seattle home of his ex-fiance

after he violated a no-contact order.

He later apologized and said he would not seek re-election.

Last month, Seattle's city attorney charged him criminally for the incident.

He pleaded not guilty.
