Starting with an elections debacle, a top state Republican is asking questions about voting security after a box of abandoned ballots was found behind a dumpster in Renton earlier this year.

The ballots were not filled out by voters.

State government reporter Sarah Mises Tan has more on this.

The unmailed ballots are mostly from King County.

State GOP leader Jim Walsh announced their discovery last week.

It's not proof of fraud, but it's proof of the opportunity for that.

When a lot of hands are touching a ballot, you can't be absolutely certain what happens.

Walsh, a prominent critic of the state's mail-in ballot system, says this latest incident points to a breach in security. The King

County Elections Office says they're working with law enforcement to determine why the unmailed

Seattle police say they arrested three people at a protest outside a town hall event last night,

featuring an Israeli speaker. The event was hosted by Stand With Us Northwest, which describes

itself as a leader in Israel education. But the Seattle Times reports, the Seattle
