Summary

New Episode Today!!
Today we’ll come around these intriguing questions: What if His presence is really His plan for us? And, what if His will for our lives is simply to walk with Him and treasure His “withness” with us more than anything?

The longer I live, the more I’m convinced that the mundane really is the platform that God uses to refine us and grow us…to even shape our lives for longevity! Our part in it is learning to be aware of His presence and being willing to consistently meet with Him in the rhythm of our ordinary days. I know for me, it’s easy to allow the thing I’m building FOR Him to blind me from truly just seeing Him.

I’m also going to share a song with you today called “Evermore” that comes around this beautiful theme of His presence being what He values most on our behalf!

I’ll talk to you soon!
-Christy

Hey all you beautiful people and welcome to the glorious and mundane podcast on your

0:18.0

host Kristi Knuckles. You know I've been recording podcasts for over six years now and I love

0:24.0

that the Lord just keeps showing me over and over just how glorious the mundane really can be.

0:30.1

In fact I really believe that it's where he shapes our lives for longevity in terms of his life

0:36.3

living in us and through us. Lately I've been thinking about how our Monday through Saturday the

0:43.2

time between meeting with our local church or the greater assembly, how it really far outweighs the

0:49.0

time that we spend on Sundays with fellow believers or at various events and when I really think

0:55.3

about it it's like the mundane often seems to supersede the big things in life, even our dreams

1:02.0

and plans, things we're building, even ministry that we're a part of. At the end of it all it seems

1:08.4

that the day to day is the platform that God wants to use to refine us and grow us. What's beautiful

1:16.8

and a mystery really is that this is also where we can consistently encounter him where the supernatural

1:24.0

is our reality. This changes things if we let it. This redefines the ordinary moments and makes him

1:31.3

a significant part of our journey and pilgrimage towards eternity yes but even here on earth as we

1:38.5

go from glory to glory with him. I've been on the road a lot lately both speaking and sharing

1:46.0

songs from the new album and I've been telling the story a lot about when I met my friend Terry

1:50.4

Price all those years ago when my kids were little I was in the thick of it and I was trying to figure

1:56.2

out that age old question of how do you balance it all and that was even what I had laid my career

2:02.8

down for a while. I met Terry during that season and was so impressed that she was a mother of nine,

2:09.1

she was homeschooling them all and was also writing country music somehow on the side. Knowing that

2:15.0

at some point I did want to return to my career in some way shape or form I remember asking her if

2:20.8

I could get coffee because I wanted to learn from her and ask her how do you do it all.

2:26.8

Some of you have read this story in my book The Life You Long For but I'll never forget asking her
