Y’all, it’s back. I’M BACK! I’m so excited to relaunch The Glorious in the Mundane podcast this week! You probably guessed that I’m going to be coming around my new album called “This is the Hour,” available everywhere you listen to music! I’m not coming around these songs just for the song’s sake—I just believe that God has shown me so much in the past few years of writing and recording these songs and I’m excited to tell the stories and to testify of God’s faithfulness once again and to encourage you that your “ordinary” is a place where God wants to meet with you and shape you into who He’s always known you to be! I’ll talk to you soon friend!

0:18.2	on your host, Christine Ockles. I am so grateful to get to be back at the podcast with you this
0:23.8	spring and the theme for the upcoming episodes that I'll be releasing and you can probably
0:29.4	already guess this is that I'll be coming around. Some of the songs and stories from my new
0:34.3	album called This is the Hour, available everywhere you listen to music. We'll be using some
0:40.2	of the songs as our focus, but you can rest assured that it's not just about us coming around
0:45.7	these songs. It's more that I believe that there are some poignant truths that God wants
0:50.6	us to come around together in this hour and the songs are hopefully a beautiful and inspiring
0:56.6	lens in which to do that together. Well, just a little backstory. This album was about two
1:04.1	years in the making all in, but as you can imagine at the same time it feels like it comes from a
1:10.3	lifetime of learning and I'm so grateful for the creativity that God so generously gives and
1:17.6	stirs up for such a time as this when we look to him for it. I know that many of you have felt
1:24.7	like the enemy has turned up the heat in terms of fiery trials. I've been in many conversations of
1:32.0	that nature lately and I will say that this record was no exception from beginning to end not to
1:39.1	sound dramatic, but it has truly felt in many ways like all hell was coming against us in the
1:45.6	very early stages of writing even. You know that I ended up on the porch with the Lord about to
1:51.6	quit everything and then from the earliest days of recording Nathan and I found ourselves having to
1:58.1	be so incredibly intentional in order to be a unified front and as you can imagine being married
2:05.7	and working together on something like this feels incredibly vulnerable at times. Well, I was also
2:12.5	dealing with sickness at several points in the journey. In fact, the first time I ever got COVID
2:18.8	was in July right before we were supposed to record. We had multiple musicians coming to the house
2:25.3	and an engineer booked and we had to end up moving the dates and we were so disappointed and COVID
