For some utopia is the chance at attaining a better life if not a paradise filled with

happiness and joy that gives life meaning real meaning meaning meaning beyond

the isolated individualized rat race of hyper-consumption

with which within which we find ourselves today.

But to many, as our guest on this show today reminds us any utopian experiment is

often just too naive too implausible too irresponsible too out there to work yet that sense of the impossible, if not the implausible, hasn't stopped

countless attempts at building a utopian community, especially here in the United States.

In our current world that insist there is no alternative,

it would seem the pursuit of a utopia is futile, but without that imagination, that

hope for a better world and future. Without that belief that yes

another world is possible it would be easy for us to believe that we are all

trapped where we find ourselves today without an escape from what can be a very grim reality.
