a text this week about cuby rankings and a lot of people just don't care and that's fine

generally i don't care like i i honestly don't but i think both of us are tied into this because Sam Darnold's was maybe the most interesting

story of the 2025 season and the contrast between what was thought of him and of the move

the Seahawks made with him and Gino Smith versus what the outcome was,

was as wide and broad as you could possibly imagine.

And yet, it seems to have amounted to no change for the most part in how people rank him

relative to other quarterback.

So we're going to talk about that today.

But first, checking it on you. How are you doing, my friend? I'm all right, man. Yeah, it was interesting this week because, yeah, the quarterback rankings came out of nowhere. I don't know what it was about this week that, like, drew all these quarterback. I was mad about, like, offensive line rankings last week. And now we get the real stuff and so yeah i'm

curious to see where we and you land on some of this stuff but it was funny i couldn't sleep the other

night so i was like watching something on youtube and i passed out and my youtube must have just been

running for a while and what popped up at like some moment in the middle of the night i don't know how how it ended up here. It ended up back at a video, me and you did last, I think it was last May, where we were going back and forth, comparing position groups on the Seahawks. And I was listening to me talk about Gino and Darnold, and I was cringing. And I was trying to play it safe. I think I was trying to sit on the fence. And I just turned out to kind of go with the conventional wisdom. And I was just, I was trying to, I think I was trying to like be the guy who was like trying to please everyone. I don't know what to. And most of it actually turned out to be pretty good. But it's funny to see go hear that and then go see what

happened. The fact that I'm listening to that show and I'm like, we're talking about a team that we're very skeptical about, but we and then they win the Super Bowl. And so I was so curious to hear that and then see, okay, how is this guy going to be ranked in the league? And it seems like nothing, like you said, it seems like nothing has changed.

So people have their

opinions, they stick to it.
