You're a little late today. And I hear you. I actually, I was not sleeping in.

In fact, I was up by five in the morning, as I often am, and have been refining my

latest projects, which is going to be the focus of not just this episode, but a number

of episodes as we count down towards the eventual

start of the 2026 season.

I feel like we will find ways to savor how amazing the 2025 season was for your Super

Bowl champion Seahawks.

And one of the ways I want to do that is to revive an old series I used to write

for the blog over at HawkBlogger.com where after the Seahawks 2013 championship, I started doing

comparisons of that defense to other defenses from other seasons to try to figure out

where that defense ranked among the greats. And the way that I did it was, as I do with most

of my stuff, some sort of tried to be objective analysis of that defense versus others.

And the main way I tried to do an era independent comparison was to look at standard deviation for,

like if you allowed 15 points per game in 20, 23.
