Well, hello. I am Matt Williamson at Williamson NFL. Day two is in the books.

Mixed results, I would say. I feel like there's some wasted opportunity here, to be honest with you.

I mean, you'd four picks on this day, and I don't love what the Steelers walked away with.

But we'll start with the good first, and that is Jeremy Bernard, wide receiver Alabama.

Had to give up very little to move up to make sure you got him.

I think he's kind of exactly what they're after at the position,

which is getting a smidge redundant, but

Coach's favorite blocker, physical, can give him carries,

has kickoff return responsibility or experience,

developed route runner, go over the middle team leader physical projects immediately as a number three NFL receiver which is a good thing but not

blow your doors off upside or speed or explosiveness.

And we've had discussions before of where do the explosive plays come from in this offense.

But when they made the pick, I thought, boy, that sets them up too.

They could take another receiver like a Hearst or a Bell from Louisville that has all that upside.

You know, this allows you to get the leadoff double,

but then swing for the fences on the next one.

And they never did.

Well, at this point, maybe you can on day three,

but most of those dudes are gone.

The guys I mentioned are gone.

So I like this pick.

This is like a B plus pick for me because it fills an immediate need. I think you know what you're getting. Big school really took over and stepped up when the going got tough at Alabama. I think there's an awful lot of good stuff to say about him.
