and this is a special NFL draft edition of Daily Shot of Steelers presented by the Fandul Sportsbook.

Usually comes your way bright and early every weekday.

This one comes on a brighter and earlier final day of the draft following a day two that, I mean, it wasn't any sort of pursuit on the general manager's part.

It couldn't have been, it shouldn't have been.

But my goodness, did it feel that way?

And that's okay.

Speaking only for myself,

what I've wanted more than anything from this draft was a wide receiver.

Jeremy Bernard, out of Alabama,

was the Steelers' 47th overall pick. pick this after an aggressive push by Khan to get up there

to get a guy that as offensive coordinator Brian Angelico would say a lot later in the evening

they and the coaching staff and Mike McCarthy in particular valued for his flexibility.

He can do a lot of different things.

And as we've been discussing on this program for a while,

you want to get a wide receiver for the future,

which means somebody who would have top of the depth chart potential,

but you also wanted him to fit in with D.K. Metcalf and Mike Pitman.

Bernard 6.1.206, obviously nice size. He has huge hands. They're like the size of Kenny Pickett's
