Summary

The war between Israel and Hamas is not fought out only through bombs and rockets - it’s also waged in the media, on campus, online, and even in the corporate world. Few have a better grasp of where those worlds meet than Profesor Scott Galloway. Yonit and Jonathan ask him if we’re witnessing a permanent shift in the perception of brand Israel - and hear how his own stand has cost him dear. Plus: the battle to bring Israel’s hostages home gets ever more political - and Jonathan braves the snows of New Hampshire. -- Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unholypodcast/Join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1150578065793142See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The war on the ground between Israel and Hamas continues, but this is always and also

0:05.7

a information war and in the social media space especially. Today we talk to one of the

0:11.9

world's leading authorities on tech, social media, and this war and how it's playing out

0:18.5

in the wider world. I'm Jonathan Friedland of The Guardian, usually in London, this time in New Hampshire.

0:25.3

And I'm Unhanyi of Channel 12, still in Tel Aviv.

0:40.2

Unholy, two Jews on the news. New Hampshire, sir, it isn't yours anymore.

0:43.8

Didn't you get the memo?

0:45.3

What are you doing there?

0:46.1

Please tell us.

0:47.2

It's a quadrenial ritual for me to come to New Hampshire.

0:51.6

I've been doing it for presidential elections going back, well,

0:55.6

decades now, right back to the 1990s. Usually it's an absolute carnival of democracy,

1:00.5

this sort of cavalcade of candidates. You are bumping into them in diners, in high school

1:06.7

gyms, in people's backyards. It's real retail politics. That's the tradition. I'm afraid to say

1:13.5

this time it is slightly different. And that's because on the Democratic side, there's no real

1:17.6

contest. I mean, there are a couple of fringe candidates, but Joe Biden, the incumbent,

1:22.1

is running again. And so there's no contest there. And on the Republican side, by the time I

1:26.2

arrived, it was down really to three.

1:28.3

It's like the old Agatha Christie's story. And then there were three. Chris Christie had dropped

1:32.5

out, Vivek Ramoswami had dropped out after Donald Trump's massive win in Iowa at the start of the

1:40.0

week. So there's just three. And Ronda Santis of Florida is barely campaigning here, and it's therefore

1:45.4

down to Nikki Haley. So we're going to a lot of Nikki Haley events because there's not much else going on.
