The war between Israel and Hamas is fast approaching the 100-day mark as Israel is scaling down its operation in Gaza.

And South Africa is accusing Israel of genocide in the Hague.

We sort of noted when it was the three-month mark, but somehow a hundred days really

stays in the mind. And what lingers for me, particularly, a conversation we had a couple of weeks

back with mother of a hostage, Rachel Goldberg, Poland and how she

changes the sticker that she wears on her clothes every day to mark the day since her son,

her age 23, was taken by Hamas, and he's been a hostage, obviously, ever since she will be writing on in three figures, 100.

I mean, that is a bleak landmark that is being passed.

So that's at one end, and then obviously the war itself, which started immediately by Hamas with that attack on October 7th.

It's been, you know, 100 long and bloody days.

Yes, and you know what resonated with me this week is hearing Daniel Aloni.

She's a hostage that came back.

She was abducted from Niroz with her daughter, Amelia, and with her

sister, Sharon and her daughters, Emma and Yuli and Sharon's husband and brother. And she said

things, you know, all of them come back with these shocking testimonies. But what she said was that

she explained how when the terrorists

broke into the kibbutz and took, essentially took over the kibbutz, they started burning the

family home. And she turned to her five-year-old child, Amelia, and said to her, I'm sorry,
