Hey, everybody. Welcome to this week's scoop. I'm so glad to see you. I really look forward to

this opportunity to sit down, grab a cup of coffee, talk to you a little bit about the news,

give you the scoop for the week ahead. And we have a wide-ranging scoop today. Every week I go

into this thinking, I'm just going to give them three things to think about, a little added context. But then there's just so much news happening in the world right now. And I really want to make sure that you're prepped for this week. So we're going to jump around a little bit, but I think cover a lot of really important stories as you get into a brand new week. And I know as we're sort of going through November, November, here's, think about this where I am at right now. I don't even know what month it is.

As we're in December and kind of moving toward the middle of the month, we really have to get

focused on family things and events and traditions. And so I kind of want to frontload your

month with some of the heavier information. So you have a handle on some of these big headlines. First, before I get into all of this, and by the way, there may be some things that we're going to talk about in this week's report that just a heads up for some sensitive younger ears in the room. This has not to do necessarily with some of the news items, which I think as I look through my notes here, more or less could be talked about in mixed company, mixed ages, but towards the end, I'm going to be talking about something that may be a little sensitive. So just a word to the wise. I want to tell you what happened this weekend, though, and this does have a tie into the news. I like to share with you a little bit about what's happening with my family. So we're going into the weekend. We got eight, six, three-year-olds, right? We have three kids. This is my three-year-old being confronted by the Grinch at a local fair. You can see I've actually a close-set picture for you. He's having none of this at all. The Grinch was actually a little bit scary.

And my three-year-old would just cover his eyes and said, you know what, I'm not having any of that

at all, not interested and was moving on. And I think that picture sort of represents how I also

felt about the weekend as a parent. There are times you get through the weekend and you think,

how am I still standing? And that's

sort of how my husband and I felt this weekend, because it just seems so overwhelming with kids.

At this festival, this is just one quick, something that happened. My daughter, who was looking at

herself, she's six years old, was looking at herself in this little headband. She looks so cute.

She got a little too close to this mirror that was in this booth. So she's checking herself out in the

mirror. And she got close enough to tip the mirror over, then tip over the clothing rack that's

next to the mirror that then went into the entire tent. I caught all three of them at the same time,

including my daughter's arm, to try to hold up the tent before she knocked over the entire tent.

These are the sort of things that happened this weekend. We went into a department store.

It was the, we just had to run a quick errands. Took my kids to a department store. They haven't been

there in a while. They loved the escalator. So they were riding up and down the escalator. I was waiting for my husband to pick up a suit. I was holding their hands going up and down, up and down. And somebody said something to us about, you know, kids shouldn't be writing on escalators because that's how they get hurt. You know, it was like everywhere we turned, we were thwarted, no matter what

we tried to do. And I had this thought because I was super frustrated as a parent a few times this
