First, there's been a lot of debate this week about the government's plan to reopen primary

schools for reception, year one and year six.

That's basically five, six and eleven year olds from the first of June.

Some teachers unions are raising concerns that these plans would have to ensure that teachers

and students would be safe.

So what do the data say about the risks involved?

We turned to Friend of the programme and new national treasure, Professor Sir David Schpiegelholter,

Chair of the Winter Centre for Risk and Evidence Communication.

There have been, based on the data so far, extremely low risks to children out of seven

million, five to 14 year olds in England and Wales, so far than the death certificates

that have been revealed, has been one death with Covid marked on it.
