Welcome to Our Henhouse. This is Marianne Sullivan. And this is Jasmine Singer. This week, Jasmine will be speaking with Leif Cox about his wildlife work in Indonesia. And actually elsewhere, it's not all in Indonesia. And he was on

the podcast back on episode 505. That was a while ago. And I was the one who interviewed him

that time. I loved that interview. He's really an interesting, extraordinary person.

Yeah, totally. I, this was such an invigorating interview for me.

And we did it because of our time difference, we did it like kind of in my evening. So I was tired.

And I usually don't like doing interviews in the evening, but within like 10 minutes,

it was like I had a jolt of electricity. He's really unlike anyone I've ever met. I mean,

the work will speak for itself, but I love his ideas. For those of you in the flock,

the bonus this week is also really cool. So definitely check that out as well. It's just

it's just so seldom that we get to interview somebody who's doing wildlife work who is vegan,

who's passionately, passionately vegan. You know, occasionally we interview somebody anyway because

we want to know the story about

the animals and they're doing work that's important vis-a-vis wild animals. But it makes

such a difference when they get the big picture. Yeah, totally. 100%. So I shot Environmental

Connections last week, my show that is on the radio and TV. And it's kind of confusing,

but the TV show side of it is pausing to focus on season two, but the radio side of it is

continuing. So anyway, while I was shooting it, I was chatting with someone who was in the studio.

We weren't recording at this time. And we were just talking about food. And they mentioned something about some sauce. And I said, you know, I think a lot of the times that people like meat, it's because of the way it's cooked and the sauce. And he was like, yeah, yeah. And I was like, and he said, the best meat that I have is something that's been marinated for a long time. And I was like, yeah, I totally get that same thing with like, you know, tofu. And he goes, oh, I hate the consistency of tofu. And I was like, which one?

He's like, what?

I was like, I don't know.

Like, I've had tofu in probably like 95 different consistencies.

So which one to you not like?
