must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous

medical costs and disruption that transgender in the

military would entail. Thank you. That blew up the internet. That made the news. We're recording

the opening for today's show earlier than we usually do five days earlier. So the day after

Trump attacked transgender people serving in the military. And things are moving fast.

So today's opening may be out of date or even moot by Tuesday because this could go nowhere.

There's been a lot of pushback against Trump's proposed ban on trans people serving openly in the military and pushback from some unexpected quarters.

Senator John McCain condemned it, but also bat-shit-crazy,

right-wing, anti-queer lunatic senator Joni Ernst condemned Trump's proposed ban on transgender people

serving openly in the military. And to be clear, executing Trump's orders or tweet storm,

it would require the military to expel trans people who are already serving openly,

which they've been able to do for more than a year now, which Trump doesn't seem to be aware of.

And if trans people serving openly is disruptive and they're already serving openly,

where's the disruption? Where are the example? Where are the news stories?

They don't exist because trans people serving openly in the military, just like lesbian,

gay and by people serving openly in the military, which they've been doing for a few years now,

...
