You might think that a woman who had done the things that I'm about to tick off this list wouldn't get invited to many parties or wouldn't get invited to parties at the place where these things happened.

She fell drunk into a Christmas tree covered with, you know, a gay couple's

expensive glass Christmas tree ornaments and destroyed the whole thing, brought down the tree,

and nothing was salvageable. Every ornament shattered forever. She also, uh, drunk at a birthday party,

uh, stood on something and then fell onto an expensive glass coffee table covered with at that point late in the night in the party.

Most of the host's glassware and all of it was destroyed, including the expensive glass coffee table that they have not replaced.

Now in their living room is a tiny little wooden table that's the placeholder for the coffee table of their dreams.

They haven't been able to locate again. They found it once before. You know how gay men are. They found their coffee table of their dreams. It's the shit we dream about when we're not dreaming about getting fists in our ass. And now they have to find another room. They have to dream a new coffee table. Dream and my heart goes out to them. You would think this person wouldn't get invited to many parties, certainly not any more parties at that place where she

fell into the Christmas tree and somehow landed on a coffee table covered in glassware.

But no, she was there.

She was at the wedding that I was at.

I was on vacation for a month.

I'm back.

And this woman, this lovely woman, Mags, was at this party.

The couple, whose Christmas tree she destroyed and whose coffee table she landed on, were getting married.

And not only was she invited to the party, to the wedding and the garden party the day after, at the scene of those crimes, she was one of the best women.

She was one of the folks up there in the front standing

with the grooms as they were wed. And it was very beautiful. And I was delighted to meet this person.

She was charming and funny and wonderful and got through the entire wedding and the entire
