I had to limp into the recording studio today here at Savage Industries on the 23rd floor of the Washington Mutual Building in beautiful downtown Seattle overlooking gorgeous, Puget Sound.

Because I went on this hike yesterday.

I wanted a massive hike to this lake in

Washington State called Lake Blanca. And it's literally three hours straight uphill, a half an

hour straight downhill, and then you're there. And then you have to do that going out,

straight uphill, straight downhill, hours and hours. And I can barely fucking walk. I usually

didn't talk about what I do on the weekends because who cares, right?

But I wanted to bring it up because when we got to the lake, there were all these white people

everywhere, almost entirely white, around this lake named Lake White, and they're all

of us white people were around White Lake.

And people were drinking beer, and people were smoking White Lake and people were drinking beer and people

were smoking pot and people were eating pot cookies and people were getting pretty stoned,

which seemed like not a great idea when you had a massive hike back out through a really

twisty, semi-dangerous national forest. But you know, you got to do what you got to do at a

beautiful lake on a beautiful day in the summer. But suffice it to say, a whole bunch of white

people up in the mountains, all of us with marijuana in our systems, as they say. I only bring

this up because right-wing media are jumping all over this report that Michael Brown, he is the teenager who was shot to death in Ferguson, Missouri by a cop, had marijuana in his system.

And this is being held up as proof that the cop was in the right, that if somebody has marijuana in their system,

they are guilty of something, at least having marijuana in their system.
