Here's the thing about gay archetypes, like gay sex art types, gay erotic archetypes.

They're never as hot in reality as they are in the porn or the fantasy or the Tom of Finland drawings.

I think at this moment of construction

workers specifically because our building here where we record the Savage Lovecast in the Washington

Mutual Building, beautiful downtown Seattle, is crawling with construction workers because the floor right

under us is being gutted and torn out and chopped up in they are throwing blocks of cement into woodchippers

and destroying them both, the blocks of cement and the woodchippers.

And me and all the texts have yet risk youth, we have migraines.

And you may have a migraine after listening to this week's installment of the Savage

Lovecast because you will probably hear some bizarre hammering, thumping background noise, and we apologize for that.

But shoving through this crowd of construction workers outside our building every day for the last few weeks, last few months,

has really gotten me thinking about those, you know, those gay archetypes.

You think about the kinds of guys, like, cliche, straight guys, masculine macho guys that gay guys are supposed to be into.

I'm not, personally.

And it's always, you know, firemen, truckers, cops, construction workers.

The full sort of village people's smorgasbord.

And they're all sort of sexy in theory.

But then you meet them in person and they're just average. All of them, average. And average is sexy too. A lot of these guys are, as they say, unconventionally attractive, but attractive still. A lot of them are bears. A lot of them would really appeal to some of my friends who are into bears. But none of them look like they could go from this construction site to the porn shoot and back and get away with it. And the same thing

about sailors. You know, we live in Seattle. We do the show here in Seattle and the fleet comes in and
