All y'all probably don't know who Father Benedict Grussel is.

He's a 79-year-old Catholic Franciscan friar.

He's also the co-founder of courage, which is the ex-gay Catholic organization.

And in 2011, according to Box Turtle Bulletin, he won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Catholic Psychotherapy Association.

So he's obviously a wonderful, smart, intuitive, sensitive, caring guy. In a recent interview, and now I'm quoting from a piece at Huffington Post, in a recent interview with the National Catholic Register, Father Benedict Groschold of the conservative Franciscan friars of the renewal, said that teens act as seducers in some sexual abuse cases involving

priests. Here's what the father said. People have this picture in their minds of a person

planning to, you know, of a psychopath. But that's not the case. Suppose you have a man having a nervous

breakdown and a youngster comes after him. A lot of the cases. The youngster, 14, 16, 18, is the

seducer. Pressed for clarification, the New York state-based religious leader explained that

kids, kids who were raped by priests,

were looking for father figures and they might be drawn to priests because priests can, and I quote,

fill a hole.
