And we're going to tear through as many of those one-minute questions as we possibly can in the next 45 minutes to an hour.

But first, an apology.

I got a couple of angry emails from people wondering why last week, last Tuesday.

I didn't talk about the Aiken controversy.

Representative Aiken running for Senate in Missouri infamously said, as everyone now knows everywhere

all over the world, that legitimate rape rarely results in pregnancy because, quote, the female

body has ways to shut that whole thing down.

Michael Kinsley, the writer for Slate and a whole bunch of other publications,

editor famously hilarious dude, wants to find a gaffe as a politician saying what he really believes in public.

And this was, you know, the Republican Party, a senatorial candidate saying what most Republicans actually believe in public,

that there is such a thing as legitimate rape and non-legitimate rape.

And there should be no exception for abortion for rape because people don't get pregnant when they get raped because the female body has his way of shutting things down.

So a woman who is pregnant who claims to have been raped is lying because she wouldn't

be pregnant if it had been rape. Anyway, Aiken didn't say anything that Paul Ryan actually

hasn't said, doesn't agree with. Paul Ryan doesn't believe there should be an exception

for rape or incest of the Republican Party platform this year, which they're working on down there in Tampa.

Let's pause here for a moment and play. Let's pretend. Let's pretend that there was a hurricane barreling down on the side of the Democratic National Convention.
