On a sad note, it really is the end of an era.

Since 2003, if you googled Santorum, the number one return was spreading santorum.com, the website

that we created to forever link Rick Santorum's vile name with the vile byproduct of anal sex,

that frothy mix of lube and fecal matter. I'm sure I don't need to rehearse this for established

lovecast listeners, but we had a contest in 2003 to redefine Rick Santorne's last

name because he gave this horrifying interview to the Associated Press in which he compared

people in same-sex relationships to dog fuckers and child rapists. And so we thought that was pretty

vile. A reader suggested that we come up with a new definition.

Readers sent in new definitions.

Readers voted and they picked the frothy mix of lubin fecal matter that is sometimes the

biproduct of mental sex.

This became known as Santorum's Google Problem.

It launched a thousand jokes on the Daily Show and Colbert and the Rachel Maddo

show and it launched a billion hilarious double entendre fudge-packed headlines.

Well, last week, Google tweaked their search brains or whatever it's called.

And suddenly spreading Santorum, the new definition is no longer the number one return when you Google Santorum.

We had a good run, but all good things must come to an end.

This is, of course, you know, what Rick Santorum wanted.
