I say that because this is an example of such. So a bunch of

episodes ago we had Vanessa Bayer on to talk about Jacob the Barmitzov boy, but at the end

I asked her to tell me everything she can about the creation of the

Totino's trilogy of sketches.

For those unfamiliar, for three years, 2015 when J.K. Simmons hosted, 2016 when Larry

David hosted, and 2017 when Kristen Stewart hosted.

In the episode before the Super Bowl, Saturday Night Live had a sketch that started as an ad for

Titino's pizza rolls and then slowly turn into something else entirely.

Here's Vanessa explaining the origin.

So I wanted to do something about Titinos and I often will play those kind of like commercial

women moms. And often will play those kind of like commercial women.

Yeah.

And we were talking about it and I wrote it with Sarah Schneider and Chris Kelly.

And then somehow, I wanted to do something about how women have nothing to do during those or how they're portrayed like in a way in those Super Bowl commercials like they're like just doing nothing while the guys.

You know I've just played that woman a million times but getting to do that and

those tropes from those Super Bowl commercials of like the hungry guys and stuff.

It was so fun that we got to do it three years in a row. This episode you'll get the full story,
