this week is Ray Romano. I know very exciting like everyone I love him.

Obviously famous for how he talked about his family in a way that felt fresh when he started out in the late 80s and early 90s,

Ray's an absolute master of a sort of conversational tone where seems like he's just talking,

where in fact every bit has been thoroughly polished.

This style makes his Netflix special, right here around the corner, feel contemporary in a way

that many of the specials of the other comics of this generation don't.

This is helped by how it shot, for instead of taping a set at some more

innate theater filled with his fans, Bray taped two 30-minute drop-in sets in New

York City. The joke we talked about, a sort of meditation on his youngest son Joe, comes in the back half of the second set.

May I suggest when you listen, take into account that the latter coming from an audience of mostly childless young people. So here is Ray Romano.

How much can a guy take? Are you going to have more kids you think? You got the boy boy right yeah I had the girl first my

youngest is a boy I have a 16 year old boy in a household anybody got a teenager no

you probably do but you don't have the energy to say it.

I don't know how to describe this kid. I really don't. He brags about things you shouldn't admit to.

The other day he walked through the kitchen and he looks at us,

I haven't showered in four days.

Just likes to hurt us. He really likes to hurt us.

And he's big. He's six five, my son. Yeah, yeah, he doesn't shower.

There's a lot going on, man.

Yeah, he's big. He plays varsity basketball.
