For me, I am sitting in my attic,

listening to the rain against the slate roof of my Victorian home.

It's late again, and I'm reflecting on how last week I was talking about some drama with my

daughter and cheers to everybody who reached out about that.

Everything worked out fine with it.

And as I sit here now, it all seems very trivial.

Because this week we got some curveballs in my family.

Someone dear in our family has an unexpected health situation and we're still

waiting for the prognosis and it's a scary situation and it doesn't seem good and

it's amazing how

you know, life can take quick turns like that,

you know, where all of a sudden

an unexpected piece of news comes
