Oh retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Dale Connor the first woman on the Supreme Court has died

I'm not trying to be funny can you check the date on that I actually feel like I recall her passing.

My friend Peter Roussel was sitting in the back seat of the car. He was a deputy press

secretary for Reagan. When the news came over the radio it had leaked and he said do you mind if I give you a hug and a kiss on the cheek she said I wouldn't mind at all

It had just come over the air Superior Court Justice, Superior Court Judge,

uh, fi- they were, I guess they were,

they had landed in DC.

It said Arizona Superior Court Judge Sandra Day O'Connor has been nominated by President Reagan

to be the first female Supreme Court justice of all time, and she has apparently passed away.

Her nephew Craig Joyce was my wife's law professor at the University of Houston.

Wonderful man.

Vanderbilt Law man at the University of Houston Law Center.

And he was the first person to send me a gift that I now send to some people every year and that was Mrs Haynes
