So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those that we've promised to pray for. We've got great news. This is day

67 with no seizure clusters with little Olivia and her teacher got in touch with her mom today to let her

know just how good Olivia is doing with her communication device so I really

believe this is the power of of these more than 12,000 people praying the Rosary together

and praying for these things.

And so we thank Jesus and Mary for this good stretch and now with even more confidence we ask for the

full healing and recovery of Olivia.

And now we pause for a moment and you can call to mind your own prayer

intentions. Today December 4th is the Feast of St. John Damasine. Born of a Catholic family in Damascus, Syria in the year 675, he spent the entirety

of his life under Muslim civil rule. Early in his professional career he was the

chief revenue officer and counselor of the Muslim caliph Abdulak of the Umead Dynasty.

In the year 726, though, the Byzantine Emperor Leo III issued a law that all sacred images and icons of Jesus and Mary and the Saints must be destroyed.

John worked to prevent this unjust law from being put into effect, and he widely distributed

articles and pamphlets to explain to the common people the goodness of sacred images that they should be

venerated and protected because they remind us of the presence of God and of

our lady the help of Our Lady and the Saints.

See, crucifixes, pictures, statues, icons,

they're all of a vital reminder that God is present

and God and his Saints are caring for us at every moment.
