This month we've completed our reading of Chapter 1 of the Abolition of Man.

And this book is quite dense, so we worked through this chapter over the course of three episodes.

But just to make sure that we don't get too bogged down in the details,

today we're setting aside some time to look at the chapter as a whole with special guest

Dr Andrew Snyder, which is why the opening quotation was from the poet Wilfred Owen.

Wolfred Owen was a World War I soldier, and in his poem he takes a pot shot at something which Lewis defends

in Chapter 1, that it is a sweet and fitting thing to die for one's country.

Dr. Andrew Snyder is a professor with interests in philosophy, theology, and literature.
